DISPOSABLE PIGTAIL DRAINAGE CATHETER
1) Great biocompatible PUR material. To avoid catheter adhere and block; small irritation and good crease resistance; patients feel comfortable because the catheter can soften in human body.
2) Depth marks. Easy to master the depth of the tube placement because the tube is radiopaque and graduation marked.
3) Guidewire use. The way to use guidewire can reduce the chance of infection during minimally invasive surgery; it is hard to injure splanchnocoele viscera for the guidewire front end is naturally curved.
4) Special design for catheter front end. A. straight design; B. pigtail twisted design with smooth side holes which can avoid catheter wall sucked and blocked, also it can help increase drainage area.

Catheter

Catheter Tube

Catheter Placement
The catheter placement operation is safer to reduce the chance of infection during minimally invasive surgery with guidewire use. The guidewire front end is naturally curved so it is not easy to injure splanchnocoele viscera.
Catheter Front End
The catheter front end has two different designs.
1. Straight design.
2. Pigtail twisted design with smooth built-in outside and additional side hole on the low-lying side. This design can avoid the catheter walls sucked and blocked, and it can increase drainage area.
Pigtail catheters are a safe and effective method for drainage of pleural effusion. Time to clearance and total duration of hospital stay were similar in both groups. Pigtail was better tolerated with respect to pain and mobility post procedure.
